To complement the core business of R.E.D. we are also able to provide the following environmental products and services.
All systems are designed in order to meet stringent environmental legislation placed on process operators.
All our environmental services are available to both new and existing customers.
Our Ultrasonic Dust Suppression Systems utilise water and compressed air to produce micron sized water droplets from a uniquely designed spray nozzle.
The importance of the micron sized water droplet is that it is the same relative size as the respirable dust particle and it therefore attracts the dust and effectively removes it from the ambient air.
Larger droplets, produced from other dust suppression techniques, are inefficient and simply move the dust particle without impacting. Large volumes of free water can also be created over the site.
No free water is produced with the ultrasonic nozzle, which is of particular importance in areas where the product is intolerant to water content.
Specific applications can be within the roof of a building to suppress dust over the total volume, e.g. within a waste transfer station, or at a specific point of dust creation, e.g. a conveyor transfer point or product loading hopper.
In addition, the system can also be utilised for odour suppression within the operating environment.
Complete air extraction systems can be supplied and installed to eliminate and control workplace fume and dust emissions.
Extraction points can cover a number of areas including: -
Systems usually incorporate wet or dry filters to regulate emissions to atmosphere within legislative requirements.
Fire or explosion relief is built in as required.
One specific example is on a skull lancing plant where the fume and dust created from the oxygen cutting of the bottom skulls used in steel production is extracted from within a mobile hood before being passed firstly through a dust and spark arrester and onto a cartridge filter.
The total system ensures the protection of the operator and clean air emissions to atmosphere.
Designed to provide effective noise level reduction from high emitting sources throughout the process plant.
Manufactured and installed to meet Health & Safety requirements and to protect the personnel in the vicinity of the noise emitting equipment.
Sound attenuation systems can be supplied in three main areas: -
Emissions monitoring can be undertaken in the following areas: -
Sampling carried out in line with British Standards and reports provided to meet Environment Agency requirements.
Emissions monitoring utilised to provide information relating to: -
Particulate emission analysis can be performed using continuous monitoring systems as well as part of a specific sampling test.
